Again, Web Expo 2000 is the perfect place for you to be if you work or
want to work in Information Technology in Anne Arundel County. See live
demonstrations, network with your colleagues, and even win door prizes --
like a digital camera!
The IT industry is still in its infancy, particularly here in the
county. But we are seeing rapid growth, with new "dot com" companies
sprouting daily, and established IT companies like Ameritrade and WebVan
looking to Anne Arundel for their expansion needs.
With its high quality of life, well-educated workforce, and an
increasing number of high technology opportunities, Anne Arundel County is
poised to become Maryland’s next major success story. At the High
Technology Council, it is our aim to foster and accelerate that success by
building strong links between industry, government, and customers. Web
Expo is one of our efforts towards this goal.
It's all happening Saturday at 10AM at the Cade Fine Arts Building,
Anne Arundel Community College. For a map to the event, see
http://www.aachtc.org.
We're expecting a record attendance this year; don't let us down --
we're doing this for you, folks. This is an all-volunteer effort. We'll
also be giving away a free digital camera to one lucky attendee. Please
pre-register online at http://www.aachtc.org. We look forward to seeing
you Saturday.
Best Regards,
David Troy
