Buying Frame one at a time for $350/each is expensive. We know that a bunch
of you will eventually want a copy for all the machines you use, and those
who don't have it will want it, and when the rest of you find out that there
is an upgrade, then you'll want that too. So we decided to upgrade/install
for everyone and all machines to those who will truly use Frame.
What I need to know:
a) Are you using Frame? If so, which version?
b) Which machines are you using Frame on? (i.e., PC, laptop, Sun, DEC,
etc.)
If you are interested in the Linux version, they are offering a free beta
version at the Adobe website (www.adobe.com) to download and use until
12/31/00. We will look into Linux licenses later, when they are available.
As soon as I know how many PC and unix licenses we will need, then I will
order one CD of Frame for PC, one CD of Frame for unix, and one set of
documentation (for PC and unix). Then you can check out the CD/docs from
me, load it, return it, and begin producing lovely documents (such as
papers, thesis, etc.).
Please let me know by Monday, October 23. Thanks, Mel
