Greetings and hello!

The good news is that the new shelves for 328 have finally arrived!
We'll be able to make sense of the chaos, clear out old machines and get
shiny new machines to go on our shiny new racks.

The bad news is that on Tuesday, Feb. 6 the management (that's me) will
be --SHUTTING DOWN ALL MACHINES in 328 C--. This will include the siege
cluster, tennis alphas and scientist alphas also (even though they are
technically in 328A). The service outage should be expected to last
appromixately 48 hours. Shorter with your help.

The shelves are due to be installed on Wednesday, Feb. 7. All equipment
must be removed from 328C before the shelves can be installed.

I will be hosting a discussion meeting at 2pm on Friday, Feb. 2 and
again on Monday, Feb. 5 at 2pm so you can ask me questions and we can
discuss what impact this service outage might have on your projects.

If you know any root passwords, tell me those also. I probably already
have them, but I might not, so please pass them along.

Thanks,
Patric
