We might want to think about whether we have any good opportunities for
involving undergrads in our projects. Helping to implement ArchJava,
MultiJava, more front ends for Whirlwind? Or maybe some more researchy
projects?

The ACM Undergraduate Research Night is coming up really soon! We have
  it
scheduled for Wednesday April 25th from 4:30-6:30pm in Sieg 134. This is
a great opportunity to meet undergraduates who are excited about doing
research. Research Night is your recruiting opportunity to get new
research assistants for next year.

Undergraduate research is a wonderful asset for faculty, graduate
  students
and undergraduates. For the faculty and grad students, undergraduates
  are
often talented, hard working research aids who can often bring fresh
perspectives as well as new energy to projects. For undergraduates,
research experience helps to focus interests and formulate goals about
what they may wish to do after graduation.

If you have interest in finding undergraduates to help in your research
projects, or even if you just have a cool project that you would like to
present to the undergraduate population, then please e-mail:

        isaac@cs.washington.edu

Also send me a few sentences explaining your research as well as any
equipment needs. We can also accommodate you if you have to leave early
or start late. Just let me know! And please sign up for a presentation
slot soon! Space is limited to about 10 presentations, each 10 minutes
long!

Thank you,
- Isaac Nichols
  UW/ACM Chair
