I'd like to set up a meeting between some people at the Intel lab working on the
Rain system (the latest in a line of ubiquitous component middleware hoohah that
includes one.world and labscape) and whoever among us is interested in modular
component systems, interesting interface declaration and checking, dynamic
software updating, program transformations, etc. I guess that means most of
us. I've gotten a couple of high-level descriptions, and I think Rain is an
excellent test-bed and motivating example for a lot of the language-based work
we've been doing and thinking about doing, but I'd like to learn more specifics
about particular applications they've built in Rain and the issues they've
thought of and we can think of. Based on that, ideally we could identify a few
specific research directions to pursue.

So who's interested, and when could you go? I can go Thursday morning 10-1:30,
or Tuesday 2:30-5:30 (if I move Jonathan's meeting to a different time next
week).
