Subject: Prospective visit day

Prospective visit day is on Tuesday March 19th. Tomorrow is our last group
meeting before the 19th, so I think we should talk about our plans.
It looks like we have the slot from 10am to 11 am. The session is listed
as:
Programming Languages / Compilers / Software Engineering
Borning, Chambers, Eggers, Notkin
Issues to discuss/resolve tomorrow:
- How are we going to convince students to come here? We need to put on a
good show. We've already brushed up our web page, which I think is great.
Are there other things that we should do in preparation for visit day?
- What format should we use for the hour-long slot? One option: a short
blurb by a faculty, and then short (3-5 mins) talks by students.
- Snyder is not listed there. Does this mean that ZPL will not be covered?
More generally, we need to coordinate with other faculty (eg: Borning,
Notkin) and their students. Maybe we should set up a meeting with them?
If there are other things that need to be discussed, please bring them to
the table tomorrow, or send an email.
Sorin
