I assume most of you will be around UW on Nov. 4 & 5 before OOPSLA, right? I'd
be interested in hosting an IBM visit and hearing about Saber. How about you
all?

Hi, Craig,
Are you or your students likely to be at UW during Monday or Tuesday (Nov
4th or 5th) of OOPSLA week? If so, it may be a good opportunity for two or
three of us from IBM to visit UW. In addition to Jikes RVM, we've started
a new project called Saber on scalable static analysis of Java programs
that might be of interest to you and your students. We've been using it
internally to analyze WebSphere applications and runtimes systems, that are
of the scale of 10,000 - 20,000 classess. Larry Koved is one of the
project leaders, and he can give the Saber presentation.
I know that there is a low probability of this working out because many UW
folks may want to attend tutorials during Nov 4th and 5th, but let me know.
In any case, I'll look forward to seeing you at OOPSLA!
Thanks,
Vivek
