Choose the distribution appropriate for the platform you are using. All distributions include documentation. The source code is only included as part of the 'source code' distribution. The only difference between the 2.0.9 and 2.1 versions are the new names of the executables. New users of Gist should use the 2.1 version of the source. 2.0.9 is offered for backwards compatibility reasons and will no longer be maintained.
