I'm happy to announce the release of v2.0b1 of the SPAND toolkit. SPAND
(Shared Passive Network Performance Discovery) is a system that allows
applications to measure the application-level network performance to
distant network sites, share that information with other clients, and
use the information to make intellegent application-level decisions.

You can find out more information about spand and download the toolkit
at http://spand.cs.berkeley.edu. There are two email lists about spand:
spand-announce@spand.cs.berkeley.edu is for announcements like this, and
spand-discuss@spand.cs.berkeley.edu is for general discussion about
spand. If you would like to be added to either of these lists, send
email to spand-{announce,discuss}-admin@spand.cs.berkeley.edu.
