...and fwiw, i remember Geoff and Alec, i think it was, debating what
fraction of client machines out there on the web are win 95. That new (and
busy) www.travelzoo.com site says its client profile is:

Win 95 67%
Win NT 13
Win 3.1 7
Win 98 1
Mac 6
SunOS 1.4
Linux .2

MS IE 48%
Netscape 51%
Netscape 4.x or MSIE 4.x: 47%

This seems interesting from the perspective of deploying new internet
protocols/services on the client end. If these results are typical, it
seems to suggest that nearly 80% of internet clients upgraded to Win 95/NT
(and its TCP/IP) in 3 years, and half upgraded to the latest browsers in a
year or two.
