Dear Neal and Tom,
I am pleased to inform you that the USENIX Association's Scholastic
Committee has approved your proposal for funds for Edge-to Edge
Transport-Level Traffic Transformations in TCP/IP Networks per your
proposal received in June.
USENIX will fund $12,690
Also, Whenever USENIX funds a proposal, we also pre-approve student
travel stipends so that students involved in the project can attend a
USENIX conference and present the results of the work. We hope
that students will submit papers to the conference, but if this is not
possible or the submission is not accepted, it is expected that the
students will participate in the WIP (works-in-progress) session.
Even if you cannot make a presentation we would very much like a status
report every six months and a final report at the end of the project for
our members.
For our new website we will need the following information ASAP,
as you would like it to appear on the web:
1) Students/Institution:
2) Faculty Advisor:
3) Project name:
4) A one paragraph Abstract/Description of the Project:
5) Website (if any) for project (that we could hotlink to)
6) Status of the project.
7) Are you planning to present at a USENIX Conference
this coming year? If not, when?
8) E-mail address you prefer to be contacted at?
Please let me know to whom the check should be made payable and where
it should be sent. I will need your Social Security Numbers and any
special information, such as instructions for gift/donation to avoid
University overhead etc.
Congratulations!
Linda Barnett
