btw, Venkat is at MS Research now, i believe. this is the guy that did the
original persistent-connection HTTP stuff with Jeff Mogul, and went on to
extend this with something even niftier called "TCP session", which shares
congestion control info across several simultaneous connections. when i
talked to him at Sigcomm he said he might be doing some web cache research
when he gets to MS. i think it'd be super cool to get him to come give a
talk or something....
