I'd be interested to see if we get the same results... david already has
some code to turn our traceroutes into AS-paths... should be a simple
task to do.

it looks like everything is 4, 5, or 6 ASes away from everything else.
perhaps that's because many times a packet travels through
1) your institution
2) your ISP
3) big nsp: sprint/mci/....
4) their ISP
5) them
?
