How close to the limit are we on the serial ports? If we wanted to put
all machines (ie existing PCs, existing Alphas, new PC's, and soon to
come PC's) on rconsole would we need to buy another board?

Subject: loomXX PCs moving

The loomXX PCs will be moving today and tomorrow to the new racks in
328c.
The alphas will stay put, but lose rconsole service.

All the PCs will have new boot PROMs put in their ether cards.
The IP addresses will change.

Those running linux will be upgraded to what is running on master.sys,
which is redhat 5.2 plus local goodies.
For the fbsd hosts, the boot PROM will be told to boot the hard drive in
the way the BIOS normally does, ie. nothing should change.

Lots of details will be decided on the fly. The rconsole service will
disappear while the serial card is moved.
