Subject: OK, how do you get off this list?
Date: Wed, 20 Jan 1999 04:02:27 -0800 (PST)
I dropped the account I received this list on over a year ago when leaving
the country. I thought I had dropped off all lists, but missed this one.
I move back to Seattle and re-open this account with halcyon under the
same name and, mysteriously, I start getting mail off this list again.
Hmmm. This stuff has been bouncing back and forth to a non-existant
account for over a year. Leaves me wondering... with all the folks out
there dropping accounts like flies and often not removing themselves from
mail lists, etc. - in ten years I wonder if a significant portion of the
bandwidth isn't taken by "noise", stuff that's going nowhere, and this
isn't enough to any one sender to bother fixing.
Oh well. For now, can someone direct me to the long lost info on how to
get off this list. Viva emacs! viva Unix! but death to NT! I gave up
on it ;-{
